Seattle Pacific’s Christian identity is central to its mission as a university. We believe that without faith, knowledge is incomplete. We work hard to maintain and strengthen the Christian academic community at SPU. This effort includes selecting faculty and staff members who are unapologetically Christian, share the same essentials of faith, and exhibit a vital concern for the education and faith development of students.
What does that mean to you? It means that as a graduate student, you’ll be challenged to think, to grow, and to act. SPU seeks to create a community that will provide you with both freedom and support as you grapple with difficult questions. You’ll be taught by world-class scholars who approach their academic disciplines from a Christian perspective. You’ll also participate with your professors and classmates in active learning and engagement. Our goal is to help you emerge with knowledge and skills for leadership and service in Seattle and around the world.
